The Company Mission

Theatre if is an inclusive company of theatre makers living in and serving the local communities of East Suffolk.

We aim to:

• Enrich the cultural life of the local and wider community.

• Develop stories from and for the local community.

• Create and tour new work for schools connected to the PSCHE curriculum with professional theatre makers.

• Create and perform new work with members of the community and professional theatre-makers.

• Provide learning and creative opportunities within the community through classes and workshops in adult education (An Introduction to Making Theatre) and for additional needs education (Access Theatre IF).

• Support the continuing exploration of the ‘aesthetics of access’’ pioneered by Graeae, placing audio description and sign language into the work from the beginning of its creation

• Support networking opportunities for theatre artists, young artists and emerging artists of all ages.
